Last night we had one more Volcano , and as usual, there were the euphoric, the indifferent and the frustrated, there were the skeptics and the challenged, those who only thought about next year, those who hoped it would be this year, and those who made it happen. There was everything, and of course, it is the way it is and always will be.
El Volcán, however, belongs to all the advertising agencies in the country, and to all of us who make it possible. For this reason, it is extremely important that we open spaces for opinion, discussion and conciliation. If necessary, this blog could also be the stage for controversy, confrontation and criticism, with my special invitation to be constructive.
There were many who agreed that the event has gone up several steps and that as such, the Volcano today is a much better festival. However, we are clear that we have a lot to overcome, to change, to adjust. There is no perfect festival and we can always improve what we have done. Therefore, it is very important to know your opinions, and openly discuss what happened.
I invite you to add your comments. If you want, we will gladly publish your article, your proposal, your ideas. A Fuego Lento is your space too. For the benefit of our country project, for a Costa Rica dominant in advertising creativity in the region, your participation is key. If you have something to say or suggest, do it in ASCAP, in the Board of Directors, in letters to the association, in open messages, or if you want, in this blog. What is not acceptable is to do it in the shadows, in the back, in the hallway or in the corner, because it does not nourish or edify.
On my part, I send my sincere congratulations to the winners. Today begins the preparation for Volcán 2007. There is no time to lose. What do you think?
