I have little to say for a Volcano like the one we have just experienced, however, I think it is very necessary to review some things, and for this reason, I would like to share some of my observations.

1. The constitution of the International Jury should be with a minimum of 3, and for no reason to grant less, given that the impact is enormous. I believe that it should not fall on only two people as it happened to us on this occasion, due to totally involuntary matters beyond our control. Furthermore, if possible, we should try to make sure that next year there are no less than 5 confirmed guests, with all that this may imply in terms of logistics and costs. The reliability of the Volcano is worth much more than a couple of extra tickets. We cannot leave room for the insecurity caused by the jury of two.
2. The constitution of the National Jury should be reviewed with the contributions and comments of those who were there. From a distance it is difficult to give an opinion, however, I am sure that there are improvements needed. However, I believe that the final vote of the international jury should be made without the participation of national jurors, since they are representatives of participating agencies and therefore, interested parties. There should be no room for concern here either.
3. The Volcano prosecution, in my opinion, should in the future be procured from a person who is not connected to any local agency. I do not doubt that on all past occasions, it has been conducted impartially, without involvement, opinion or influence of any kind (although I have never been there), however, it is best to avoid any suspicion or concern.
4. There have been many comments regarding some of the pieces awarded, inasmuch as they were not massive. That is to say, as in the case of the bath and the dolls, there was only one placement, and yet it received several volcanoes. To this I want to say that in my opinion, it is like this in the contests all over the world, the idea is rewarded and not its diffusion, which is valid and I do not see any conflict. However, if someone has a better idea of how to do it, they should not take a second to share it.
5. This year the categories, number of prizes, volcanoes, etc. were thoroughly reviewed. Although everything is perfectible, I think we have arrived at a fairly accurate categorization. Likewise, any idea is welcome and for this reason, it is necessary that we define the way to achieve a certain consistency from year to year. In fact, I think we could have a rating of 7 in this point, and if we are consistent, this would raise it to at least 9.
6. As for the inscription of pieces, the ways to do it, whether they are truchos or not, semi-truchos or total, the important thing here is to reach a national agreement: we are going for the elevation of the creative product and an open search for the necessary international recognition in the most recognized arenas. Everyone will do it in their own way, however, it is clear that in life one triumphs with effort, honesty, truth, work, perseverance and consistency, as it is also true that mailicia, cunning, intelligence and aggressiveness, among many other values, are required.
7. In relation to the event, there is much room for improvement. What there is no doubt is that in the room was breathed and enjoyed a higher level of event, and that much was achieved to reflect the feelings of each of the members of the current board of directors of Ascap, composed of 7 representatives of agencies in the country.

For now, this is what I wanted to add without taking another minute. The Volcano in Costa Rica deserves the highest level of recognition and appreciation, variables that will only be achieved with the active participation of all of us who make it possible.
