DECLARATION AND MANIFESTO FOR A BLOG IN TUNE. In January, we received 11,815 hits.
When my talented and dear friend, Massimo Martinotti of Mia Films, suggested me the idea of publishing a blog on the web, he convinced me in an instant for the simple reason of experimenting. Only a few months away from reaching half a shingle, an expression that helps me feel light on such a famous occasion, it is extremely important for me to keep myself up to date, not so much to know as to understand, comprehend and feel personally what is going on in the world, as well as for the fact that I try to keep up to date with the latest news. as well as for the fact that I try to keep myself many miles away from that voracious cramp that pursues us all and that is nothing more nor less than obsolescence.
To my surprise, of course, I now find myself with thousands of monthly visits and a sort of simmering pot that grows every month. It turns out that in effect the blog has become a sort of meeting point for many, though I confess I have no idea who. I can see the number of visits, the number of servers they come from and some other data, but I can’t know who arrives. That is to say, your visit is totally anonymous for me and my friends and collaborators in the blog.
What is true is that BLOGGING IS VIRAL. It is a kind of epidemic that moves and advances in a contagious way, that some have shot and sneezed others, thus creating a breeding ground for the virus of this blog. Of course, compared to hundreds of thousands of hits on other blogs, this is small and it is between us. However, it is just as interesting. And for this reason, because it is also fun, from today we will continue with this experiment for a while longer, surely playing throughout the year that begins.
We will promote it and keep you posted on what’s new, but from now on we invite you to spread the word, to participate and to visit this address frequently. Put it among your favorites, either for being in your preferences or in your abhorrence. That is not as important as your visit is. We intend to focus mainly on ideas and advertising, as well as business and opportunities, a little on the passion of running, on anything we want to share and of course, on issues of deep concern, such as in the environmental and spiritual fields. I want to cover the international, regional and local space, as well as that lesser known inner space, and because of this, sometimes we might encounter some of the personal.
The blog is dynamic, it is informal, it allows for spelling mistakes and even some furtive spelling horror, which, although I hate them, suddenly escape. That is to say, just like life, I don’t take blogging too seriously, I often laugh at it as I sometimes laugh at myself, and in some cases, I even expose myself to ridicule because I just don’t care. In fact, and to the fullest extent of the expression, life itself should not be taken too seriously, because we will surely come out of it dead and with nothing. For this reason, you will not find here big and exotic words, the vocabulary will be like everyday, even on Sundays, without pretensions or attempts to write like nobody else but oneself. In short, the blog is not the Editorial Page of the New York Times, nor does it pretend to be the mouthpiece of anything or anyone other than the individual who participates. It is, in fact, a space that is yours if you want, that you visit if you feel like it and that you pass on to others when you consider it of interest.
It is easy. Very easy. It’s mine and it’s yours. It’s here, published on your screen and any screen in the world, within reach of billions of people with a few keystrokes. It’s the new order of the world we live in. It’s exciting in a way. It’s fascinating. It amuses me and in a way it captivates me, and because we will be playing and enjoying it here, maybe the result will be a blog that will make you come back often.
