Yesterday, in a month, the Cannes Festival will begin, and God willing, we will be there with Carlos and Paula to discover what this year’s main creative advertising event in the world will bring us. The week is intense day and night, with dozens of conferences, talks, round tables, exhibitions and of course, contests, awards, winners and participants.
The Palais des Festivals, where the film festival is currently staying, is on the right side of the marina on the left, on the very chic Rue de la Croissete and diagonal to the Majestic Hotel. The beach is beautiful, although divided by railings that mark areas of one hotel and another, as well as by rows of stretchers, that the closer they are to the sea… the more expensive they are. Over there it is difficult to imagine beaches like ours, where there are no borders and you can walk for miles with no other witnesses than bushes and palm trees.
We expect few surprises at the festival, as Clios, NY Festivals, Fiaps and other contests have already shown the main participants, and soon, we will confirm once again that they are the prelude to the great annual event in the south of France and facing the Mediterranean.
For the first time, two Costa Ricans will participate in the Young Creatives Film Competition, and for this reason, here in this blog you will be able to read their impressions, participations and opinions. We will take cameras and recorders with us, we will take as much as possible and we will share it all when we return. There will be nothing under the table or up our sleeves, because what we can learn there, will be for everyone and with an open heart.
