I’m bored by everything that doesn’t change, that stagnates and doesn’t evolve. I’m bored by TV series, I’m bored by most classical music, old boleros and silicone boobs. I’m bored by risk-free chess games, I’m bored by predictable, obvious commercials and those who think people are stupid. I’m bored by averages, I’m bored by centers and the expected. I’m bored by those who always compete, or those who always say everything is perfect. Those who think they know everything, don’t even talk to me, they bore me the most.
In business, I am bored by the imaginative, the improvised, those who do not know where they are going. I am bored by those who think they are a lot, and they are not, and perhaps even more, by those who always take themselves too seriously. I am bored by those who always talk to me about the same thing, those who don’t dare, those who don’t dream or simply conform. I am bored by the sycophants, the lame ducks, the lambasters, the egg washers. I get bored by the tricksters and the rifles more than bore me.
If I surround myself with people with ideas, authentic, sincere and loyal, I do not get bored. If they surprise me with the unexpected, I don’t get bored. If I connect with people who dream, who desire a better world, who seek balance, who overcome their frustrations, who make compromises, I am not bored. If in one we are serious, and in another we are charlatans, I am not bored. If one day is good, and we celebrate it, if we have another bad day and we suffer it, it is something that does not bore me. Being with my family, with my friends, with my people, with my wife, with my children, my siblings, does not bore me. Just as it does not bore me to meet new people, discover their talents and enjoy them.
When I see that controversy edifies, I don’t get bored. But it bores me a lot when people avoid it. When they hide behind the screen, when they don’t say this mistake is mine, all that bores me. Those who don’t show their faces, those who don’t raise their voices from time to time, those who only live in the past, bore me. Costa Rica bores me a little, but its challenges do not bore me. I feel very sorry for the poor, the underprivileged, the ignorant, the sick, those who cannot, but I am very bored by those who, being able to, do not do it. I am not bored by making mistakes, erring or failing, but I am more bored by inaction, by doing nothing, by being passive and contemplative. That bores me.
For this reason, innovation is a good companion to keep me from being bored, as is your Higher Self to achieve peace within. Understanding the world, being global, competitive and denying the conventional, does not bore me. To live intensely and to be passionately surrendered, is something that cures me when I get bored. And I don’t go on, because if I continue in this, I bore you.
