Founded 19 years ago by my wife, Alexandra Franco, Home-Two is the kindergarten where I have seen the most devotion, dedication, mission and sense of purpose that one can imagine. And I say this because I had both of my children in this kindergarten, so I have no doubt that children and parents could say the same when sharing the thousand experiences that make Home-Two a unique and particularly special place to any other in the world.
Her methodology as well as her principles and values are the pillars for an inspiring, committed and consistent work that Alexandra carries out, as the head of some 35 collaborators who in many areas make Home-Two possible, as well as Fernando, the only male in the whole group who makes Home-Two a spectacular, intimate, close, personal, daily reality.
From the usual celebrations for fathers and mothers, to the special trips to visit factories or parts of La Sabana, to the simple fact of a “sale of vegetables and fruits”, such as the “united nations” activity, to the occasions of costumes or moments of shared silence. It is a kindergarten where countless Montessori guides have been formed, and from which others have emerged with good success, among whom I highlight Gloriana Granados and Viviana Quesada. Home2 is a launching pad for children in the direction of leadership, creativity, legitimacy, freedom, transformation and fulfillment.
It is a family experience that is repeated over and over again, as a natural result of an experience that one wishes to repeat. In a spectacular setting, with its green areas and areas designed for children, this kindergarten awakens the desire to return to kindergarten, just to experience the privilege of being able to take your first steps in such a place.
