I always ask for an aisle, open my book, my magazine or my laptop. I take the time of the flight for myself, for e-mails, campaigns, pending issues, strategy or the project waiting for an opinion. And because of this, it has been a long time since I have sat and looked out the window of an airplane.
Great is the world and great is all creation. Without a doubt, the world was made by an Art Director like no other. Here I am enjoying the clouds illuminated by that great natural reflecting sun, which turns them to intense white, in contrast blurred by a blue sky with traces of orange and more blue. Down rivers and green, huge spaces of jungle and intensity in the distance that I only suspect and imagine.
As I haven’t done for a long time, I have some time to daydream looking at the horizon, captivated by the emotion that brings me to escape with my eyes out the window, flying like a child who doesn’t remember doing it for decades perhaps. I must have been like this for a couple of hours. Sensational!
There’s the book and magazine in the front seat bag. There was my laptop until I decided to share with you this instant. All the emails and projects will also remain pending for now, in the excitement of this simple rediscovery at the airplane window. Maybe I can come back, as I detach myself from this wonderful moving image, reality check, and place whatever I touch in its true dimension.
Children’s eyes. Glances outside. Everything in its right proportion, my time spent in total sync and what is important in our hearts. Is it possible to live like this? Shall we try?
One day at a time.
