A while ago I received an email with these two commercials of Central American brands with an identical theme, without comments or accusations of any kind, which seemed right to me. However, I think it is important to emphasize that creative coincidences happen constantly, that they will not stop happening and that at any moment it will happen again.
In this case of two Central American brands of alcoholic beverages, with first class agencies and led by first class people with ethical and professional integrity, I have no doubt that this is just another coincidence. Plus, with themes related to parties and people having a great time, putting together pelón is a lot of fun and it certainly wasn’t hard to come up with the same creative solution.
So I would highly recommend the creative community to avoid any unnecessary wear and tear. No one copied anyone here, I bet you want, but a new creative serendipity like those that all of us who have some time in this, have experienced at one, two or more times.
In any case, where is the party? I’m going to both!
