We finished the second round, and as I enjoyed last year, judging for the Ojo de Iberoamérica has been a pleasure. First, because of the organization and gift of everyone at the festival, and second, because of the quality and creative level of what participates in this regional competition that only grows year by year.
Among this year’s finalists, I found more pieces from Costa Rica than ever before. However, most of these pieces seem to be festival adaptations or truchos from clients that hardly exist. There is a Huecos version, for example, for TV, that I don’t know which agency it’s from, but it has a trucho nose, trucho hair, walks like a trucho and for all that it looks like, it’s very possible that it’s a trucho.
