With only 6 days to go until the Cannes Lions International Festival, the advertising community around the world is ready to celebrate the best of the planet. Some try to cover the sun with a finger, and of course, they will never succeed.
More than 28,000 pieces will compete for Lions, with a record attendance of more than 8,000 delegates on the stage that best describes our essence in the advertising world: creativity. From Cannes, I will have the opportunity to share what we will be seeing, learning and absorbing there.
As of today, the following people will be from our country: Mariela Rodríguez from La Nación, Warren Marenco from Garnier BBDO, Christian Caldwell from JWT, Gabriel Alfaro, Jorge Oller and Alexandra Franco from Tribu Saatchi Saatchi, and Josafat Padilla and Humberto Ling for the young creatives from Costa Rica in the Young Lions Print Competition.
Last year we had three people attend for our country, and for this reason, we are very pleased to be almost tripling our attendance at the festival. As the 2008 version begins, I would like to invite you to start planning and making provisions now to attend.
