Today began the Antigua Festival in Guatemala, organized by UGAP. With almost a thousand pieces participating from agencies all over Central America, the organization and enthusiasm in this city is simply contagious.
After our meeting yesterday of FECAP, the Central American Federation of Advertising Agencies, which brings together the associations of each country, and which deserves a separate article later on, the Guatemalan Advertising Agencies Union (UGAP), which is the only one of its kind in the country, is organizing the Antigua Festival.n Guatemalteca de Agencias de Publicidad has turned to its festival, with 11 keynote lectures between today and tomorrow, as well as the awards ceremony to be held tomorrow with the judging of 6 creatives coming from abroad.
Casa Santo Domingo is taken over by advertisers, with an activity and approach typical of a business community that is determined to continue advancing and growing, clear of the challenge that the world presents us and that Costa Rica has presented this year.
In fact, there is surprise at the number of entries from Costa Rica, so we could expect a good night tomorrow for Costa Rican agencies that remain focused on making Costa Rica a creative advertising power. So we’ll see.
For the moment then, I leave these lines here, while I can not fail to highlight the hospitality of our Guatemalan colleagues. They are all friendship, all affection and all commitment. Thank you!
