With only a few days to go until the last day of September, and therefore, with only 11 days left to publish the pieces for Pregoneros and Volcán, rumors have reached us that we will have a heavy participation of Central American agencies in Volcán 2008.

Comments, inquiries, calls and messages allow us to anticipate that agencies from Guatemala and El Salvador will be the main ones to register their pieces for the Volcán, looking for the opportunity to come to our stage and take the statuettes to their countries. I suppose, without having any precise information, that BBDO Guatemala and Ogilvy Guatemala will come with their whole battery of winning pieces.

It is worth mentioning that the pieces have to have been published in the year that ends next September 30, and that this will be more than verified before the validation of the awards. Also, it will be important to recognize that much of what comes from the region is well known, and possibly already has Jades and other international awards.

The regional competition is coming, and with it, the Volcano will never be the same again. Is Central America coming to sweep up what it can, or will it be rather, what we let them take?

With more than 20 international jurors confirmed, the Volcán 2008 promises, and for this reason, it will be very interesting to see how the national agencies come, where GarnierBBDO, Publimark, JWT, Jotabeqú, Ogilvy without a doubt, in short, where all the agencies of the country will go for the maximum possible for their showcases.
