I got my hands on the October 2008 issue of Esquire magazine, and while it’s no surprise, the femininity of the male model is more on display than ever on most of its advertising pages.
From Dolce Gabbana, Prada, Boss, Burberry on the finer end, to Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Calvin Klein, Ermenegildo Zegna and Bergdorf Goodman on the slightly less feminine side, fashion brands today present us with a man much more removed from reality than the same old slim models in women’s brands.

I would love to run these pages through a simple test. I would like to know if these thin, effeminate men are more attractive to the gay man than to the young woman, if there is some balance in the opinions, or if this is the model of what a man must pursue to be attractive today.
