I first met Jason Muñoz through his email with the subject line “The power of ideas…”. He asked me if he could add me to his list, and with some intrigue for his initiative, I responded positively to learn more about his willingness to share.
For some years now, Jason has periodically sent me an e-mail with the best of the ideas he finds all over the world. When today I got his mail once again, and in this case with this wonderful new commercial for Budweiser from DDB London, it made my morning because of the happy and contagious music of the Beatles, the happy images and the freshness of the message. And also, I felt very grateful to Jason for letting me know, once again, of powerful ideas worth sharing.
It’s not surprising that in the last Young Lions Competition, in one of the winning duos for Costa Rica, we met Jason Muñoz. In fact, by winning in the Film category along with Paula Diaz, partner at DDB Costa Rica, he had the opportunity to be at the Cannes Film Festival last year, with expenses paid by the contest organized by ASCAP. Jason was part of the Film duo in the south of France, along with the winning Print duo of Jennifer Caldwell from Leo Burnett and Maia Livov from Tribu Saatchi Saatchi, both winners of the Silver medal at Cannes.
In some of the moments I had time to share with Jason in Cannes, I particularly remember with great emotion when in one of the two parties in front of the Carlton we talked on the dock and he told me how much he was enjoying his experience, the intensity with which he was learning and how much he was taking advantage of every talk, every seminar and every workshop.
