Today we could repeat in Tribu enough awards to be Agency of the Year in the Volcán Festival for the second consecutive year. We doubled in finalists to our closest competitor in this contest, jotabeqú, and a little more to Ogilvy, so the odds point to Tribu DDB.
Of course I hope so, because we have worked very hard, we have done our homework, we have enjoyed the process and we have certainly invested as well. In Tribu DDB, there has not been one person who has not made a contribution, so we all feel satisfied. If we were not Agency of the Year with that number of finalists, we would still be satisfied because losing giving absolutely the maximum and the best, is worthy, it is brave and it is better than losing knowing that we could have given more.
While the night arrives and we receive the final announcements of the winners at the Volcano, I want to congratulate very specially the creatives at Tribu, led by Pablo Chaves and Javier Mora in the General Creative Direction, as well as Joaquín Brenes in the General Art Direction and Rogelio Umaña in the Interactive Creative Direction. In each cell of the agency, strongly supported by Paula Guevara and Marcelo Furrer in their Creative Directions, as well as by Frank Fernandez, Marvin Rodriguez, Kenneth Prieto, Esteban Jimenez and more than 30 graphic and conceptual creatives in our company.
Of course it would be impossible to achieve that 10 clients of the agency have achieved 50 finalists in the Volcano, without the support of everyone in planning, media, accounts, administration and management of the company, which has to work as a tribe to achieve this kind of results and enjoy success in Tribu DDB.
I believe that with or without Volcanoes, it is time to celebrate that we managed to transform ourselves from the executive Consumer of the past into the creative Tribu of the present. It took us many years to make the cultural shift and evolution from one axis to the other, so now we can focus even more on consolidating and moving forward. For all the agencies competing in the Volcano, today we have a pause to celebrate and then move on. The year 2010 is just beginning and there is so much more to go and win.
An important night is coming, and while El Pellizco takes place today, we at Tribu DDB are preparing to applaud the best creativity, whichever agency wins it, with our fingers crossed that the overwhelming majority of finalists will confirm the last Volcano we most desire: Agency of the Year.
