The award was obtained by adding the highest score in the categories of the contest. This agency won the award for the two best radio campaigns, the best illustration in a graphic campaign, the best web page design, and the best graphic in the social projection category. Almost all the awards went to the 2,000 colors campaign, by Protecto paints.
“It is a great emotion. It’s a huge satisfaction. It is a work of the whole agency, the ideas come from people from all departments,” said Paula Guevara, one of the creatives of Tribu DDB.
“We work with a client that understands the importance of creative work and of working in an original and different way,” added Frank Fernández, creative at Tribu DDB.
More awards. The best interactive work was for the virtual pilgrimage campaign, which the agency Jotabequ Grey created for Radio Fides when the pilgrimage was suspended due to the AH1N1 epidemic. The idea of the campaign was to offer people the possibility of taking part in the pilgrimage via Internet.
Enrique Nieto Sancho, founder of the Asesores agency, also received an award.
“I began studying business administration but advertising captivated me. This award motivates me to keep going, there is a lot to do,” said Nieto upon receiving his award.
Although it is a regional contest, almost all the awards went to Costa Rican agencies. Only the category of the best graphic campaign went to the agency Cerebro Yamp;R of Panama, for its Gama campaign for the Sony Bravia.
“Choosing the winners was a big challenge, there is a lot of creativity. In Costa Rica there is a lot of creative potential, and that is reflected in the results,” said Martín Fierro, member of the jury.
