Dr. Roberto Sasso will be hitting a bases loaded home run today with the stadium full to the last chair, as he launched the idea, sustained it and it finally materializes at the Children’s Museum, under license and authorization of TED in its effort to disseminate the ideas that merit it.
In an informal conversation a few days ago, during the Gala Night organized by Fundavida to raise funds for his organization, Roberto told me of his excitement and high expectations, although he admitted that he had not imagined the complexity involved in this mission in the country, which already intends to become the headquarters for TED in Spanish, an idea that without sufficient contacts or influence, I proposed to TED several years ago as well.
Since TED set out to influence the world with the ideas presented in its private events, through the Internet, I have been a faithful follower of its exponents. Today, I also celebrate the resources they have managed to raise through their dissemination, as well as the proliferation of events around the world. I also find it extraordinarily positive that they have added subtitles to their talks, making them accessible to millions more people in several major languages.
As tweeted a few minutes ago by Dr. Sasso, let’s hope Murphy stays many miles away from the Children’s Museum today. I hope the effort put in will be repaid with outstanding talks and if not zero, at least very few technical glitches. Live streaming transmission by la nacion.com will give access to all those who were left out of the auditorium.
So good morning, it’s almost 6:00 AM and it’s time to have breakfast and then go to TEDx Pura Vida.
🙂
