Tribu DDB is a competitive sailboat sailing the seas of life. It is driven and enjoyed by dozens of crew members who are passionate about their vision, as it is in the direction of our own personal dreams and aspirations. More than a company, Tribu is a voyage inspired by many and influenced by a few, as is the spirit of Louis Vuitton reflected in this message for reflection and intimacy with oneself.
Understanding the journey is truly important, for indeed it is neither a trip nor a vacation. Nor is it a soccer match where everything is given in just 90 minutes, but one that adds up day after day and month after month, exploring, discovering collectively and personally. Thus, the journey shows us how we fit into the world and how it is life itself.
“I don’t want to be a product of my environment. I want my environment to be a product of me,” said Jack Nicholson at the beginning of The Departed, and I agree that we can influence our environment to be the ones who shape our journey. This is what we sincerely believe at Trbu, in highs and lows, in triumphs and defeats, in peaks or precipices, in calm or stormy weather, the journey is exciting for those who persevere and overcome the frustrations of the day, for those who set their sights on the goals and set out to do it as a team, convinced that we win more if we all win.
The journey is long distance and indefinite time, the prizes are not certain and the satisfactions are given by instants in our intense and passionate competition. The base is built by chopping stone or slow kilometers in zone one, with few or no shortcuts, with no free lunch or free travel. The journey is tenacity, endurance, faith, stoicism, it is a challenge and at every moment a chance to make a contribution, to add and make a difference.
Tribu DDB continues its journey today, now with platforms for launches in Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Panama as well as in Costa Rica for more than 21 years. In this 2010, after months of intense emotions, changes and awards, aware that it will be with endurance, passion, sacrifice and even torture, with vision and inspiration, with missions and clarity on the road, with awards and joys, fascination and true friendship, embraced with our clients and their brands, with our business partners and collaborators in all areas making one big tribal family, because not only blood defines a family but the same journey.
That yes, my dear reader until this last line of this simple publication in my blog, as the most powerful nation in the world says in its lowest denomination bill: In God We Trust. Yes, in God is all our trust and faith, so I send you from my keyboard a sincere wish: may God be with you and guide you in every step of your wonderful journey.
Happy living.
