I have more than 30 years in advertising. I started at 22 and not long ago I celebrated my 53rd birthday, ignited as an entrepreneur by several opportunities, and among others, by the idea of making Tribu DDB the most influential agency in Central America. Time flies and everything has happened in an instant.
Maybe 20 years ago I saw the commercial below, and among many others, I saved it because I knew that at some point it was going to be an inspiration. In less time than I could have ever anticipated, today I too am gray-haired and wrinkled, and although the characters in the short film are still about 15 to 20 years older – of course – just like them, I can also say that I am not old.

This message excites and encourages me, as I think every commercial should. If we are going to invest a dollar or a million, let’s exercise the possibility of influence that we have in every campaign, every piece, every investment. I was impacted by Nike’s idea, and today I hope that Tribu DDB’s campaign for Importadora Monge, to use an example currently on the air, will do the same. We can do it focused on social creativity, multiplied by technology, today as never before in the history of mankind. Impressive.
For a moment just think about this post to my blog. In one click today it is published all over the world, and in an instant, as in my last 30-odd years, perhaps this idea of influence can also be placed among your aspirations and also in your heart.
