To tell the truth, I would prefer a million times to have a rich and productive economy, with the capacity to pay for roads, bridges, health, education and everything necessary to distribute wealth and not poverty. However, I was shocked with the news of the next World Cup hosts, as no one expected Russia and Qatar to win.
However, when the Qataris were asked what they were going to do with the stadiums they will build, and which they will not use for their million inhabitants, to my surprise the answer was simple. After the “compact” World Cup in 2022 they will dismantle the unused stadiums and donate them to developing nations. Ah? how’s your eye?
