In Inner Mongolia and next to the Gobi desert, a new architectural marvel has been added to the planet. In a bid in the style of Bilbao with its Guggenheim by Ghery, Beijing commissioned this work to MAD Architects 6 years ago.

Ordos is a designed city, conceived as a social and urbanistic experiment. Today it exhibits a museum whose content – the cultural history of the region – contrasts with the futuristic character of its urban context.
In our countries there are few great architectural boldnesses. Moreover, in general there is no awareness of the responsibility of the developer and his architect to the community in which they live, to deliver works that stimulate the senses, make a difference and provoke an experience.
With the never-ending Bucket List extended by this museum, someday we will have to go all the way to Mongolia.
