Next Thursday we will experience the 30th edition of the Pregonero de Bronce, organized by La Nación. It will be a night of celebration for creativity, as well as for an unprecedented situation in three decades of history.
For the first time, Cannes Lion-winning graphics will be judged at the Pregonero as well. Coincidentally both bronze, one global and the other local, the awards will have the challenge of being confirmed or completely different. The pieces for VideoCentro by Tribu DDB are clearly the entries to beat, after winning the first Lion ever won by Costa Rica in Print.
Nothing is set in stone and anything can happen, as the judges’ criteria is completely independent. However, we at Tribu are in great anticipation of what the outcome will be at the Herradura on Thursday night. It is no secret that the Pregonero has never been our best stage, and because of this, with our feet on the ground we know that the dice are rolled. Any outcome is possible.
The Bronze Town Crier is an institution in Costa Rica, promoted, supported and driven by Grupo Nación. It is important in the country, it is recognized and has a high value for everyone, although some like to saw the floor to the Pregonero as well. In our vision of its contribution over 30 years, we can only applaud La Nación and thank them for their commitment, dedication and devotion. We will be at the Bronze Town Crier once again, where I wholeheartedly wish the best to all who participate. The only losers are those who don’t.
With a good entry made by Tribu in many categories, including new works with enormous potential, I confess that we have our highest hopes for the already known characters. Of course, we hope it won’t be a result of one versus the other, but of Bronze Lion + Bronze Town Crier.
We’ll see how they do!
