With this image I woke up this morning, as I was getting ready for a quick trip to Guatemala. I couldn’t let the moment pass without a click and a few moments to feel the breeze, the sun at dawn and all the blessings that come to us daily from heaven.
Without ignoring those who suffer and suffer, those who do not have or have lost, those who need and seek help the most, all of us who have more than we need have to live in a permanent state of gratitude. In my case, moreover, every day in greater amazement.
I must have been about 14 or 16 years old when I remember coming across an unforgettable image: “Today is the first day of the rest of your life”. It was written in the style of the hippie years, when peace and love was everywhere, I wore bell-bottoms and we sang along with Cat Stevens and Simon Garfunkel.
“Today is the first day of the rest of your life”, seemed to me a powerful idea. It has been with me every step of the way ever since, to realize that we can’t let a day go by without making it count. In fact, since we can’t change anything in the past, we are daily faced with the opportunity to make the present a spectacular memory.
When I came across “The art of possibility” by Zanders, more than ever I realized the reality that attitude and joy can make a difference. After all, we can choose the feelings of the day and move forward proactive and excited.
I’m leaving or the plane leaves me. Yesterday was a sensational day at DDB Latina. Today will be at the Tribu DDB workshop in Guatemala. I also hope and trust that it will be a sensational day for you.
Cheers!
