A new edition of SXSW Interactive is coming (March 9 to 13) and we wouldn’t miss it for the world. Last year I was there for the first time, and now I think it’s going to be hard for me to pass it up without a compelling reason. Too much to learn, too many notes to take and everything to gain in an Austin that has colluded for years to be weird and different. “Keep Austin Weird.”
I for one love to see that in all these auditoriums there are very few gray hairs present. It has always seemed to me that it’s possibly because most old dogs assume they already know it all, while others assume this is only for the geekiest of geeks. And since only young dogs get new tricks, I never stop learning.
The South by SouthWest in its interactive week is to go crazy. Many presentations per hour, hundreds of networking opportunities, full-throttle intensity and an experience that can be turned into impressively innovative ideas and solutions. SXSW 2012 will once again be the target of 7 people in the Tribe Group, who’s suitcases have to come back full of the latest and greatest.
