I have little time to write in“A Fuego Lento“, for the simple reason of having spent months very distracted by one and a thousand topics, moments and life events that have captured my attention. For this reason, I will have to return to the keys with the result of an observation: the leopard is much more exciting than the lion.
For many years we have been on the hunt for the Lion, the Cannes Lion, perhaps ignoring the existence of many other prizes, possibilities and opportunities. In fact, with a Nikon 200-400 mm telephoto from LensRental.com I managed to prove it a few days ago in the Great Kruger Park in South Africa.
As much as we may think so for an instant or a lifetime, the world does not gravitate around a Lion. Just as it happens to the people who work at Coca-Cola, (or whatever your company, team or passion), it is a mistake to assume that the axis of the Universe is a bottle, because the truth is known and it is not so.
The prince of predators is the leopard, and of the “Big Five”, it is undoubtedly the most beautiful. Neither the lion, the rhinoceros, the buffalo nor the elephant can match the impression made by this powerful, intelligent and imposing feline. Instead of blogging, I spent several days focused on photographing it at full click.
It is said that the leopard is the most elusive of the wild cats, and yet I think that in that category it is surpassed by the jaguar of our latitudes and the Lion that is only found in the south of France in June. It is also said that if you do not get to see the leopard in your search, you can leave with the certainty that the leopard watched you from its hiding place.
Along with these images, we have a solitary Lion in our showcases. With much in the right proportion and with a little better perspective, we will still go for bringing him company. Among many other reasons, because we will do better for our clients’ brands.
