Every problem is an opportunity. Every limitation is a possibility. Every aspiration can be a realization. Every person can achieve their goals, of course, if you pay the price with discipline, sacrifice, passion and commitment.
When I learned about the super humanity approach through the Paralympics, I must admit that it made my skin crawl and touched my heart deeply, moved my soul and ignited my spirit. What a burden, what a wonderful inspiration!
First watch this video message and then let’s talk some more. If you allow me, I recommend you to watch it again and again, because this way your feelings and your desire to follow his example grow.
The Paralympics are games reserved for people with physical disabilities, either from birth or acquired. The Special Olympics are different, and people with some kind of mental disability participate in them. However, not because of these disabilities they are not less athletes, but on the contrary, and as the video included, they are super athletes. Who said fear?
Costa Rica has sent few people to the Paralympics, and as far as I understand, to date none has won a medal. However, from my humble point of view, they are deserving of standing ovations and trophies the size of the National Stadium. They are heroes and legitimate legends, as in the case of Laurens Molina, who finished the marathon in London with a time of 1:48:25, or Dax Jaikel who placed 15th in his cycling competition with a time of 1:59:34.
The creativity and quality of the London 2012 ad, along with its masterful production, generated a Golden Lion at Cannes, as well as unanimous applause at the Palais des Festivals from all of us who were there. After all, how could one not be moved by such heroes and heroines? Above all, however, it connected us with the super humanity of which we are all capable, because not a single limitation should be enough to stop us.
If you are breathing, you too can be super human.
Go for it!
