Costa Rica will be playing in the fierce courts of the Grand Palais des Festivals in Cannes in what is considered the world of creativity. The best of the world will compete in the International Festival of Creativity and Costa Rican agencies have entered the fight for statuettes with 95 entries, which implies a significant increase compared to 55 in 2013.
The next Festival will break records to become the largest celebration of creative communication on the planet, as our agencies will be measured among 37,427 entries from 97 countries in 17 categories. The main contenders are the United States (6,213), Brazil (3,321) and Germany (2,376). Cyber is already the third most important category, after Foreign Affairs and Press. In Central America, Guatemala has registered more than 125.
With the number of final entries per agency, the Costa Rican agencies participating are Leo Burnett (25), Jotabeqú (12), Ogilvy (11), Tribu DDB (10), Garnier BBDO (10), JWT (9), Madison (7), McCann (5), TBWA (3), Republika Independiente (1), FCB/Crea (1) and OMD (1). The entries are top notch and all have a chance to win. Let’s look at two, the first video by Ogilvy and the second by Leo.
While the National Soccer Team will be sweating it out in Brazil against England, Italy and Uruguay, the best of Costa Rican creativity will be doing it at Cannes on a global level, for the first time with 12 different and talented national agencies.
Without any editing, below is the final Cannes report with the Costa Rican participation. There will be 95 brave entries against 37,332. Don’t miss the predictions.
Many successes! and lions of course.
