Today the Costa Rican National Design Team, grouped together in a natural, informal and spontaneous way, with incalculable talent, heartfelt emotion, visible admiration and genuine spirit of celebration, has rendered a Graphic Tribute to the Sele.
Its organizers Marianella Snowball and Noé Arias, founders of Changos Inc. stated it in their project: “Beyond a sporting achievement, we have lived days of unity and national joy”. Then, and I must say it as I feel it, with great vision they rightly add their applause “to the team of a country that began to write a new history with its athletes and will continue to do so also with its artists, scientists, intellectuals and other talents.”
The message is blunt and that is why it makes sense to highlight the teachings of the Sele. In short, it is not necessary to be a World Cup player to take the example of our national heroes by working hard, teaming up even in adversity, submitting individual talent to the collective interest, recognizing the talent of others and knowing how to play in their own zone, among many other virtues of a winning team.
The collection is on display at the Paseo de las Flores from September 13 to 28, as well as in the domain that we recommend you visit immediately at www.tributografico.com. The “mata gigantes” inspires us all and as Nella and Noé say, “we are all players in the same great team”, in clear allusion to those of us who were born and live in our country.
Thanks to the Sele, Costa Rica has given a lethal blow to the choteador and serruchapisos in the depths of ourselves, because we have learned to applaud in unanimity and joy. We have discovered it is possible to celebrate the talent in another person. We have been taught to recognize those who stand out above others, because we have seen that we win more if we all win.
Thank you for carrying out this initiative Changos Inc. and to all of you for your contributions, designers, illustrators and illustrators of Costa Rica who decided to join in the celebration.
Because what is celebrated is repeated.
