We have received the welcome news that Ferrán Adrià will be in Costa Rica to detonate innovation and share his secrets in the kitchen.
With 1,846 dishes invented during 25 years in the kitchen of elBulli, his legendary restaurant ranked as the best in the world, Ferran Adrià is recognized as the great culinary master, a creative, revolutionary and inspiring artist.
His legacy has been loaded with concepts such as deconstruction or molecular cuisine, of disjunctions between sweet and salty, cold and hot, crunchy and sparkling. His influence is gigantic and his brand is profound, making him an ambassador of innovation on a global scale.
Precisely as his ambassador, Telefónica brings him to Costa Rica and will share him with full hands. With a very busy schedule of activities starting very early next Monday, he will be on Channel 7’s Buen Día that morning. He will give interviews to La Nación, CNN and La República, as well as El Financiero, Giros, Estrategia y Negocios, Nuestra Voz, Traffic and ADN Radio.
In the course of his intense visit, as a day in the elBulli kitchen must have been, he will also deliver several extraordinary talks. If you are interested in listening to him, there is still a chance to hear him at the Tecnológico de Cartago, Auditorio de la Ciudad de las Artes, on Monday at 10:30 AM. I suggest you confirm your attendance with The Map at confirmaciones@themapcomm.com or by phone at 2288-2331.
Also on Wednesday you have a good opportunity. Ferran Adrià will inaugurate the traveling version of his “Innovation Space” at 9:30 AM next Wednesday at the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MADC). The exhibition will be open for 3 more days and will be a great experience to live the contagious influence that vibrates innovation.
Exploring the elBulli experience is a great idea. If a chef did this incredibly well, revolutionizing what seemingly couldn’t be improved, why couldn’t a dentist do it in his office? A psychologist in her kindergarten? A group of people in their dream venture? A mechanic in his workshop? A financier in his company?
Any enterprise, from a new career to a start-up business, requires innovation. Because what got us here is certainly not going to get us there.
Welcome Ferrán! Welcome innovation.
