In the early days of our agency, located in the room of my parents’ house that my brother Carlos vacated, the then Consumer had its first network: a Mac 512 and a Mac SE, my brother’s computer and mine. From one desk to another we jumped for joy the day we put the first messenger in history to work: AppleTalk. We had the country’s first laser in graphic arts, and we did everything in that first nest of work and determination. Carlos was, in fact, the first to work on Adobe logos, and the first to publish them in press and brochures. He would print them at 2 or 4 times the size of what was going to be published in the laser, and then in the lab he would reduce them and with this the dpis would multiply. I remember when La Nación came to visit us to understand what we were doing with the Macs in arts and printing! It was March 1988.
The first logos were for Cofal, and for Rolando Araya, in that internal campaign in the PLN that he lost against Carlos Manuel Castillo. He was my partner, friend and brother in the beginnings of our agency, and with him, the first hi-5s, the first laughs and successes in what were the beginnings of a dream come true today. Carlos is today CEO of SuiGeneris, where he continues in his technological passion, innovating and being first in many areas. That’s right, it was my brother who made this first logo, in those times when there were about 10 15 macs in the country. And this was just a small of the enormous contributions in the take off of, today, Tribu. Thanks, bro!
