When I arrived today in Cannes I found the print competition concluded in its initial stage, as both Josafat Padilla and Humberto Ling, as well as the other 39 creative couples from around the world, competed from Saturday afternoon until Sunday. They delivered their works and these will be judged tomorrow, Monday, while most of the Ticos are still sleeping in Costa Rica.

The theme focused on Amnesty International and its sixtieth anniversary since its founding, and from what Humberto and Josafat tell me, with an unusually open, broad and imprecise brief. A few hours before one of the first awards of the week, here we are chewing our fingernails for the possibility.

The work done, which I will post in a few hours, is exciting. They bet on the idea and they did it bravely.
