Since ASCAP achieved the representation of the most important creative advertising festival in the world, the country has connected, competes and wins among the best of the planet. Advanced advertising agencies, in a stimulus to their creative talent, have achieved finalists, as well as gold, silver and bronze statuettes.
Along with this great effort to elevate the creative product in our market, an open, happy and positive contest is organized among young talents under 28 years of age, the Young Lions Competition. With the fundamental sponsorship of Grupo Nación, pairs of creatives compete with their ideas in print, digital and television. The winners travel to Cannes and compete there with the best from all over the world, with English as an indispensable requirement.
For 2011, a new opportunity opens up. Both the competing advertising agencies will be participating with their best creativity, as well as more than 150 young people looking to win and live this extraordinary opportunity for learning, growth and inspiration. Ascap has placed all the necessary information at the following address: https://www.ascap.cr/younglions
In the context of a country affected by the lack of international exposure in virtually all areas, Cannes is the maximum competitive and learning expression today, mandatory for anyone who has to do with a consumer brand. In Costa Rica, the local competition is lit up in the Volcano Festival and the Effie awards for creativity and effectiveness, both organized by Ascap, as well as the traditional Pregonero de Bronce organized by La Nación. In the regional dimension, other festivals are the Concacaf of creativity, such as the Ojo de Iberoamérica and the Fiap in Argentina, as well as the Jade in Guatemala.
Along with all these initiatives, this year there is also an opportunity for a young couple from an advertising firm to attend Cannes and compete in the Young Clients Competition. Those interested should contact Ascap and review the possibilities available in this innovative global competition. The idea behind it is one: to attract advertising clients to creativity for their brands. Thus, those who should be the main stakeholders of all this great movement, have today also an opportunity to grow.
Costa Rica has shown that it has the conditions to compete and win. With a great community of creatives committed to make our talent shine, today young people also have an extraordinary opportunity. The invitation is open and the first step is to participate.
