Today we finally received the signal we were waiting for: it’s official. Movistar, our new big client has chosen us to be their creative partner in Costa Rica for an unprecedented launch in the country. Although until just a few weeks ago… this seemed impossible.
We came in last to the competition, as we were the third invited. We met some sensational people along the way, positive chemistry, a brief at the center of the target and the creativity of a great tribe of phenomenal talent. Then it made the difference the work of many days, including the weekend and Easter, as well as the connection in the great network that is DDB Latina. In the end something unexpected happened until very recently: Movistar is in Tribu DDB.
Without a doubt we are reaping what we have sown for years, and I don’t doubt for a second that we deserve it. However, it is also true that I don’t think we are that good, and that’s why I think there is help from heaven itself. What is certain is that we also share similar DNAs, an illusion with the same colors and that genuine conviction that shared, life is more.
Beyond the brand and the business, we have found in Movistar a group of wonderful people. Serious professionals, respectful of the country they come to and with a wide variety of nationalities, who also celebrate with a winning smile in the face of the new challenge. I think Movistar will be a huge success in the country, especially because of the sensitive and elegant consideration we have found in its top executives. To all of you, thank you for your confidence in our company. You can take it for granted that you can count on our strongest commitment.
To everyone at Tribu DDB, I think it is time to celebrate. The day after the Volcano, just a few hours after having repeated as agency of the year for the third time in a row, we started the task for the account we have been assigned today. Indeed, the Sunday following the Volcano marked the day we began the quest for this great new honor and privilege of life. I believe that next Friday, it will be a big one.
To all our friends, clients and collaborators, a big hug and sincere appreciation in a moment of great joy. Today it was our turn to win once again, as it is also true that it is inevitable to lose on other occasions. The Movistar assignment adds to the commitment we have with every customer in the company, as well as with every battle partner in Grupo Tribu.
