Casado in Brazil is called feijoada, and that was our first meal when we arrived in Copacabana for the Wave Festival.
With an air of the Carlton in Cannes, the Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro is the perfect setting for the great creative festival of the largest country in the world. Particularly when at the reception we were given a partial view of the beach, which normally means that you will need binoculars and a mirror to see it, and at the end they give you a box overlooking the sea. No complaints.
As an invitation from Advertising Age and Jorge Mendez, I accepted to come as a jury member to the festival. First because I love to learn, meet and grow with new experiences. And second because an excuse to return to Rio is more than welcome. For this reason, my wife and I have gone ahead a couple of days and go out to enjoy this great city before locking myself with headphones in some room.
The trip is long and the weekend is expected to be full of soccer. On the one hand, I have the channel on and I’m waiting for the Spanish classic. In a few minutes Barça will be out to give Real Madrid another soccer lesson. On the other hand, tomorrow we will go live to watch Ronaldinho’s Flamengo play in the semifinal against Vasco da Gama.
I have the highest expectations for this week’s Wave Festival. I will have to take a lexotan and triple ritalin to be able to focus a whole day on radio, the category I will be judging. I will surely be able to escape to listen to Marcelo Serpa, and especially to my friend and dear colleague at DDB, the great Sergio Valente.
In the meantime, I can’t stop thanking God for all his blessings and gifts of life. Through our participation and focus on not letting a day go by without taking healthy advantage of all the possibilities of each day, today we are enjoying an extraordinary moment. All the companies in Grupo Tribu are living it, focused on creative business solutions.
I will be online. Attentive to share everything that comes to my eyes and ears.
Best regards!
