We moved to the Dent when I was about 11 years old, and since then, I had new neighbors: an Automercado, Giacomín and the bowling alley. For years they meant a part of my life that I always remembered with great affection and even some nostalgia, and that today, I enjoy again in my current neighborhood in Pozos, where now only the bowling alley is missing.
Childhood experiences, childhood flavors, childhood smells, childhood visions. Giacomín and Automercado, like La Peseta in Hatillo or the Selecta baguette on Ave. Central, the coffee at Palace or the beer at Chelles in San José. Moments and stimuli that add up to give us a sense of belonging, to the point of allowing us to feel like owners of those brands, in partnership with all those who also enjoy them. Honest brands, with the legacy of tradition and quality that is appreciated, of values for lives of work and effort, of families and neighbors that bring you closer and connect. For this reason, today I want to celebrate Lovemarks like Automercado and Giacomín, because in my life they have always made a difference.
To the Alonso’s and Giacomín, I have to thank them for the many experiences I have lived, especially because I have always wanted to repeat them. From finding our favorite cheeses or fresh fruits, the select wine or some craving, to my irreplaceable hollandaise in the pastry shop of life, the mocha cake or the well toasted ears. The combination of these brands also generates confidence in their customers, because they reiterate commitments and delivery of happily satisfied expectations. Consistency in delivery, with the natural exceptions, make the shopping experience one that is constantly recycled.
Since they opened in Pozos, our quality of life has improved. And for that reason, I am pleased that other firms have also joined us, bringing more trusted names to the neighborhood, such as Universal on via Lindora, Soda Tapia, BAC San José / Credomatic, restaurants and so many other places. The evolution of Santa Ana is accelerated and often disorderly. The use of signs is infamous and in many areas there are important improvements to be made. Ablization is urgent, and the widening of the radial imperative that should wait no longer. However, the brands that have come to these parts of the Tribu neighborhood have brought warmth to the heart.
Now, all we are missing is the Dent Bowling Alley, and maybe a Chellez Bar or Soda Palace, 2007 models?
Cheers!
