With Golds for Publimark Lowe and Ogilvy, Silvers for Garnier BBDO, JWT and DDB, as well as a Bronze for Tribu Saatchi Saatchi, we closed our country’s participation in FIAP in a great way and exceeding expectations.
Yesterday I felt a bit pessimistic and for this reason, today I am glad I was wrong in my assessment of Costa Rica’s role in FIAP. It is clear that we are ready for more and that we can achieve it, however, as a first step in a festival at the level of a large Latin American region, it is to be celebrated that six agencies won a statuette.
From my corner in Tribu, I send a hearty congratulations to all the creative teams in the winning agencies, especially to those sensational golds from Publimark and Ogilvy, because in addition to being the main awards, they imply that they have had a legitimate option for a Grand Prix.
Dear friends, colleagues and companions of illusions, we are doing well. The country’s project is moving forward and with the signs in the Caribbean and now Fiap, we can continue betting hard to grow as a conglomerate of creative advertising agencies, with real options to the big accounts of the regional market.
It is time to celebrate awards in so many Costa Rican agencies, it is time to encourage all of us who dream to keep trying. In 2008 we are taking sure, firm, directed, shared steps. It is time to celebrate the country’s triumphs, because the real competition is outside and the real arena is Latin America.
Therefore, it is also time to celebrate. Next May 15 we will have to celebrate creative triumphs and thus receive the Day of the Publicist, May 16, in a single party of committed creative publicists.
Let’s go forward. Not a step back, not even to dance.
