Costa Rica is the scene of a fierce competition among talented lions and creatives under 28 years old, as they all want to go to Cannes Lions next June to compete among the best.
More than 100 pairs are participating today for the opportunity and thus breaking the record of participation in the Young Lions Competition in our country. Today the registration closed, brief, hard work and selection of finalists next week. Then final brief and last round competition to choose the winners.
In the meantime, we are still working hard to raise the necessary funds to get the three couples to Cannes. We are still missing two sponsors and more agency participation with money for this purpose, but in the meantime, I’m sure we will find a way to do it and deliver.
I am very excited about such an important participation, with more than 60 couples in print, almost 20 in cyber and the rest in film. The competition is open and many are already sharpening their claws to go for the ticket to Cannes 2010.
It fascinates me, it encourages me, it makes me happy, it touches my heart that so many young people in Costa Rica today are competing to go to Cannes. I find it wonderful, I feel grateful to be able to serve in this way and with everyone in ASCAP, committed to continue against all odds, any obstacle or difficulty.
Best regards!
