After 10 years without winning a Pregonero, Tribu Saatchi Saatchi won two and a sum of cards with Honorable Mentions and Special Honorable Mentions that allowed us to leave the Herradura very satisfied and grateful.
Personally, I already felt that the Pregonero de Bronce, impeccably organized by La Nación, was a kind of closed stage for Tribu in its aspirations for more statuettes. Many times the ball hit the frame or we missed by centimeters, leaving the room with a lot of cardboard for several years. For this reason, achieving not one but two Pregoneros on this night is something that makes us immensely happy, and at the same time, relieves us of a decade of pedaling and trying to return to the stage for beautiful and heavy awards.
Tribu’s evolution, as the whole market knows, has not been easy, as it is not easy to convert an originally executive and marketing-focused agency into a winning creative culture. Likewise, in the process, it is not easy to put together a winning team and get them to play well. Additionally, it is difficult to align with a jury that celebrates your work and awards it. In the end, an award is a lottery and it is a complexity, and for this reason, it is with joy that we celebrate a good night for Tribu.
The determination to move forward and grow has gone hand in hand with many years of research, as well as the inspiring leadership of the duo formed by Pablo Cháves and Javier Mora, General Creative Directors, Joaquín Brenes, Art Director, as well as the work of all the people at Conexión Creativa and the indispensable support of all areas. Our cells, in a cohesive way, are led by Creative Directors, and for this reason, Álvaro Fernández, Esteban McLean, Marcelo Furrer and Paula Guevara manage to contribute, add, contribute and create in this line. The contribution of everyone, and especially of the youngest and most recent arrivals to the agency, makes it unfair that so many are left unmentioned by name, and yet, we all know what was given and for this, it is to be applauded that on the playing field there was not a single effort without passionately giving their all. It deserves special mention the extraordinary work done by Morpho (https://www.morpho.tv) in the illustration of these winning pieces, just beginning with the first step of its tour of international festivals.
Of the winning works, and especially that of Aceite Salat, for Dipo, let us emphasize the work of the team led by Paula Guevara and Frank Fernandez, who now add two Pregoneros to their curriculum and inspire everyone to keep fighting for more, and particularly Esteban Jimenez, who at the beginning of his career contributed, and then converted with everyone an inspiring goal. In the realization of these pieces, there was a painstaking, careful and happy work, where Quincho, Pablo, Javier, we all had to see in one way or another, so they are Pregoneros with protagonists, as well as with many supporting actors and many extras. Love was added and for this, a heartfelt and humbly received recognition in the Pregonero de Bronce (Bronze Town Crier).
Having said that, thanking and congratulating the team at Tribu, this is a paragraph to congratulate the winning agencies of Pregoneros and Mentions, with a special note to Leo Burnett, which often gets a Pregonero as if it were easy, to Ogilvy for its statuette for its creative team in new generation, as well as Publimark, to whom we applaud their triumphs as our own. To all the agencies, congratulations and sincere thanks to Beto Quirós for his affectionate embrace, because we had a couple of battles that for a change this time… we won.
Once again, the Bronze Crier was very well distributed and I think this is very positive, because we win more if we all win. And to those who did not win last night, a lot of encouragement and courage because, as our history shows, you cannot be discouraged by a bad night, nor by a five-year period or a decade, perseverance is triumph and knowing how to win is as important as knowing how to lose.
Now, yes, let’s celebrate and enjoy, because Costa Rica is becoming more creative every day, and yesterday, it was confirmed.
