I have little to add to a topic that I sum up in two words: simple and elegant.
So is the Mini or my Q5, so is the Mont Blanc or even more the iPad. In a few clicks I buy my ticket on American Express Travel or my theater ticket on TicketMaster. BH Photo makes it simple and Amazon delivers it too. They are all solutions that can be summed up in two words: simple and elegant.
My relationships with my friends are easier every day, and more meaningful, because they are simple and elegant. And when I look for the solution to a problem, which is the same as finding the opportunity in a situation, we usually choose the one that turns out to be simple and elegant. So business, contracts and even deals, how we look and how our next building will look.
The Openhouse website is simple and elegant, as is the design of Tribu or Bosz, Fusion, Infirma or Camedia. With the limitations of a personal blog that I can’t give the time it deserves, I aspire for this one to be simple and elegant as well. As I wish it in food, from the way it is prepared to the way it is presented, or from the chosen typography, especially if it is Helvetica.
A presentation, an essay, a conversation, an opportunity for public exposure, a friendship or a business relationship, all of them or any of them in themselves are possibilities to achieve the simple and elegant that I prefer so much. Win or lose, give and serve, whatever, simple and elegant is better.
My life I want simple and elegant. The attention to my physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual dimensions I strive for simple and elegant, like the space in my office or the design of my latest digital book.
